Trevor Franklin recognized for his innovative approach to teaching

Assistant Teaching Professor Trevor Franklin is the recipient of Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder's 2026 John and Mercedes Peebles Innovation in Education Award.

Franklin was recognized for his innovative approach to teaching and his commitment to student success. Through interactive simulations, scientific literature, collaborative learning, thoughtful feedback and an innovative grading system, he creates a classroom where students think and work like scientists.
Prior to joining CU, Franklin was a National Science Foundation STEM Education Postdoctoral Research fellow at Cornell UniversityÌýwhere heÌýperformed engineering education research (EER).
