Denis Muthike is an assistant research professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ. He is also the associate faculty director of the Global Engineering Residential Academic Program hosted by the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering & Resilience. He earned his PhD in environmental studies from the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ in 2023. He is the recipient of the NASA SERVIR Individual Excellence Award, The Mortenson Center's Global Engineering & Resilience Outstanding Professional Award and a mentorship recognition from the Hult Prize Foundation. Muthike's research is primarily based in eastern and southern Africa and is broadly focused on improving climate resilience programming.
