Why were you selected for this award?

My advocacy for the transportation needs of Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder and the Boulder community has led me to receive this Community Impact award. Through my leadership at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØNightRide, I've had the chance to spearhead initiatives to boost ridership and efficiency, particularly for international students without a car and those traveling between nightlife destinations who are more likely to be impaired. In the broader community, I've personally and professionally petitioned for improved transit, bicycle and rail access, including working with the Front Range Passenger Rail project for my internship last summer. When accessibility is made possible through equitable and sustainable transportation, everyone benefits – this is what I live by.

What is your favorite Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Memory?

Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØhas brought some incredibly smart, creative and caring people into my life. We've bonded through many epic camping, climbing, hiking and rafting adventures out west together, and I look forward to a lifetime of friendship.

What is your best advice for other students?
