Nov. 20 is Transgender Day of Remembrance—Nov. 5, 2025
, Nov. 13 – 19,Ìý is a time to celebrate, uplift and honor our transgender friends, family, students, staff and faculty. The week concludes on Nov. 20Ìýwith theÌý; an annual observance that honors the memory of the disproportionately large number of transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
How You Can Be Involved:
- Attend TDOR Events: Join local TDOR events, candlelight vigils, and memorials to remember those who have been lost and show solidarity with transgender individuals.Ìý For example, Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Library will hold a on Nov. 17.
- Learn and Educate: Ìýand others about transgender issues, terminology, and the importance of respecting gender identity.

The Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Pride Office builds belonging and community for LGBTQ+ students, staff and faculty. Pride Office initiatives include givingÌýSafe Zone Gender and Sexuality TrainingsÌýacross campus; holding community-building and educational events; offering one-on-one consultations; advocating on behalf of queer and trans students, staff and faculty and; supportingÌýLGBTQ+ student groups.
