The Career Values Card Sort by WellSort is a simple (and fun!) drag-and-drop card sorting activity to help you identify and articulate your career and work-life balance values.ÌýÌý

A value is a core belief that is important and meaningful to you. When your career decisions are guided by your values, it leads to a deeper sense of purpose and engagement in your work and sets you up for both professional success and a healthy, fulfilling life!ÌýÌý

The card sort includes 40 career values cards, which students sort and rank based on what is most important to them. It also includes a downloadable Reflection and Resource Guidebook, which will help you:ÌýÌý

  • Reflect on the meaning and importance of your top career and work-life balance values
  • Determine your own definition of success
  • Think about where, with whom and when you’d prefer to work
  • Develop a list of questions you can ask in career conversations, informational interviews and formal job interviews to help you assess values alignment
  • Set up meaningful conversations with people who can help you learn more about different career possibilitiesÌýÌý
