PhD student William Frantz is developing microscopic droplets designed to help doctors track radiation therapy in real time. His finalist pitch at theÌý2025 LVC competition highlighted how the technology could one day make cancer treatment more precise and less harmful, particularly for pediatric patients.
Carolus Vitalis, a PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering Program (BME) at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder and National Science Foundation (NSF) fellow who has co-authored several book chapters in synthetic biology, was one of the headliners at this year’s TEDxÂé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØevent on April 5. His talk discussed the pros and cons of artificial intelligence in the field of synthetic biology.
