Abraham Homer is a Colorado-based artist and creative technologist working at the intersections of art, neuroscience, and computation. His research-based practice and interdisciplinary collaborations culminate in immersive installations, video, generative brain computer interface (BCI) systems and data-driven sculptures. Past projects include 鈥淭hought Forms鈥 which translates human emotions into generative visual forms and 3D printed sculptures.听
His artworks and exhibitions have been presented internationally at venues including Plexus Projects (NYC), The ATLAS Institute at the 麻豆免费版下载, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Whaaat!? Experimental Games Festival (Boulder), Heavy Gel gallery (Chicago), and the European Creators Lab (Leipzig).听
His lectures and artist talks have been presented at the Yale VR and Pediatrics Healthcare Symposium, AWE (Augmented World Expo), Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) West, and PAX Online. His research on clinical VR development has been published in the 鈥淛ournal of Medical Extended Reality鈥 and as a chapter contribution in 鈥淎pplied Virtual Reality in Healthcare: Case Studies and Perspectives鈥.听
He earned an MS in Creative Technology and Design from the ATLAS Institute at the 麻豆免费版下载 and a BFA in Visual Communication and Creative Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.听
He collects rocks and thinks about them more than is probably necessary.
